Children’s Hospital chose Primary Group to redesign the Martha Eliot Health Center into a state-of-the-art health care facility—symbolic of Children’s Hospital's reputation. Given the site's setbacks, the lofty glass atrium was a fine solution. The entry tower and atrium are the most visible symbols of this $3 million, 26,800 sf. facility.

Extensive site design and remediation make this clinic a healthy statement of an emerging community where an abandoned factory once stood. Adult medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, optometry, speech and hearing, nutrition, adolescent social service programs and administration reside in this structure, reminiscent of the Hyde Shoe Factory which formerly occupied the site.
