| Since opening day, the new 36,000
sf. Uphams Corner Health Center has been open and busy seven days
a week, supporting the area’s youth, family and elderly populations—providing
access to a variety of medical and social service programs.
The clinic’s warm brick exterior and entry garden enliven the building’s clinical context, creating a community center image that works for everyone. Materials for both exterior and interior finishes were selected to provide durability and ease of maintenance, while keeping the building well below the $4- million budget. The new Center’s exterior light, landscaping, and heavy pedestrian traffic bring vitality and security to the neighborhood. |
