The Greater Boston YMCA commissioned Primary Group to renovate the existing 39,118 sf.Roxbury Branch YMCA and design a 3,800 sf.addition.

Our mission was to change the image of the aging facility and to convey the vibrancy of the programs that occur inside.

The addition includes a 1,400 sf. daycare facility to accommodate 21 infants and toddlers, a 2,300 sf. fitness training area, and new handicap-accessible restrooms. New programmed spaces included a 1,000 sf.aerobics studio, a new classroom for after school programs, new a teen center and a new community computer center.
