Primary Group was retained to examine multiple design options for a new facility at Franklin Field were explored before the preferred alternative involved a combination of new construction and the adaptive reuse of an existing MDC skating rink was selected. The goal was to create a highly visible image within the community, while being mindful of budgetary constraints.

The 40,000 sf.facility was designed with zoned space for use by different age groups, and includes offices, gymnasium, swimming pool, daycare facilities and a radio broadcast studio. The complex, when complete, will serve a wide range of community needs and provide facilities for a variety of activities that will keep urban youth focused on contributing to the community.
