In 1996, with the construction of the new library about to start, the College's president requested assistance with the search for a proper location. PGI studied a series of alternatives, resulting in a partial Master Plan, locating the library at the West end of a new, reinforced, East-West pedestrian axis intersecting the North-South one at a Clock Square. Following the construction, PGI was entrusted with the design of the public plaza and the fountain located in front of the Library.
